I have a B.Mus degree in music from Aberdeen University where I studied classical piano with David Parkhouse and a P.G.C.E from Moray House. I worked as a professional pianist before becoming a Secondary School Teacher. I was accompanist to the folk singer Mary Sandeman, played the piano in various hotels and at corporate events, played in a dance band and was session musician for Billy Mackenzie of the associates. In other words I have a strong knowledge of many different styles of music.
As a teacher I have the experience to teach Standard Grade, Int' 1 and 2 and Higher music and am aware of all the requiremants to pass these courses.
I also compose a lot of music in particular using the software programme Sibelius 6 and am able to offer tutoring for this programme as well as the sequencing programme Cubase 5.
I can also offer piano lessons or electronic keyboard lessons to match your particular interest whether that be classical,jazz,pop etc.
